Canadian Competition Manual: 2019 Edition

The Canadian Competition Manual 2019 Edition is now available for affiliate clubs, coaches, officials and athletes. The Canadian Competition Manual 2019 Edition is the source for rules, standards and procedures for Nationally Sanctioned Competition. What's New / ChangedIn addition to minor editorial changes, highlights of the revisions in this edition of the Canadian Competition Manual include:

  • Minimum age of eligibility for Canadian Championships has been changed to 15 years of age (Section 2.1, 3.1, 5.1)
    • Previously was 16 years of age
  • Removal of the rule requiring athletes to have been part of a club for 90 days prior to competition (Section 2.1)
  • Added requirements for registration as a Canadian athlete (Section 2.1)
  • Added eligibility requirements for selection to the National Team (Section 2.1)
  • Canadian Pool Championships and Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships awards updated to reflect eligibility to compete at 15 years of age (Section 2.5)
  • Officials Ceremonies section added (Section 2.6)
  • Age divisions updated to reflect eligibility to compete at 15 years of age (Section 3.1, 3.2, 5.1, 5.2)
  • Pentathlon replaced with All-Around Athlete (Section 3.2, 5.2)
