Course Details: Lifesaving Swimming Instructor Course - Swim for Life. Become a swimming instructor! This course will take place over two full weekends with a focus on certifying instructors to teach the Lifesaving Swim for Life program. This does not include the Instructor course program that allows instructors to teach Bronze level courses.
The Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard Course is the final course in the stream to achieve a lifeguarding certification. This course is recognized as the standard for lifeguards in Canada. The primary role of the National Lifeguard is to prevent aquatic emergency situations. Candidates will learn how to respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner. Candidates will learn how to adapt to a variety of aquatic facilities. Course content is structured to reflect the Lifesaving Society's standards in water rescue and is informed by current research into drowning and injury prevention.
This course requires 100% attendance and participation to complete.
