Governor Bruce Hogle Awards

We present these awards each year to recognize and celebrate our affiliates who deliver the Society program continuum throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Our members promote an Active Alberta and Northwest Territories by providing training programs for all ages and abilities. They engage communities and educate the public about safe behavior when in, on and around water and ice.

The Dr. Edward Montgomery Educational Institute Recognition Awards are presented to affiliate educational institutions who have delivered the greatest number of Lifesaving programs during a calendar year.

Jordan Neave Swim to Survive® Recognition Award

The Jordan Neave Swim to Survive® Recognition Award is presented to the affiliate members accumulating the highest point totals for the Swim to Survive® Program. This award aims to build awareness of the Swim to Survive® program and the need to teach youth valuable swim survival skills. Following the drowning death of eight year old Jordan Neave in May 2006, the Lifesaving Society established this memorial award with the support of the Neave family.
