In Canada, Swim to Survive® is a proven method to prevent drowning and the Lifesaving Society advocates for all Canadians to learn basic swim survival skills in a global effort to eliminate drowning.

Additional Water Smart® Resources

The Water Smart® Key Themes and Messages helps educate people about how to be safe in, on and around the water.  Inside you will find tips and messaging to assist you in helping educate others about being safe!

The Water Smart® Activities Guide is designed for Pool Programmers, Instructors, or anyone interested in teaching people to make Water Smart choices, that will help them avoid injury while playing or working in, on and around water or ice. The activities are presented in five themes: General Safe Behaviour; Swimming in Open Water; Safe Fishing and Boating; Ice Safety and Cold Weather; and Water Rescue.
