Seeking Feedback from Current & Former National Lifeguard Instructors
The Lifesaving Society Canada has released a survey seeking feedback from individuals who have taught at least one (1) National Lifeguard original or recertification course in the past 5 years, for future revision and enhancement of the National Lifeguard program.
This survey is focused on reviewing swimming competency and the Endurance Challenge standard as measures of lifeguard fitness and ability to perform a rescue.
Lifesaving Society program standards are based on research, data, and best practices, where applicable program standards are aligned with legislative and regulatory requirements. Your input will help to identify strengths, address challenges, and ensure that the National Lifeguard program continues to be the leading training standard for lifeguards in Canada.
To share your feedback, take the survey here by February 28th, 2025. All responses will be kept confidential, and accessible only to the Lifesaving Society Canada for internal review and improvement purposes.
