How We're Navigating the Canada Post Strike

Due to the postal strike, any recent or future orders placed with us will likely experience delays in getting to you.

We support Canada Post workers' right to strike, but we also understand our affiliates' need to receive their Lifesaving Society products and equipment in a timely manner. To ensure that orders can still be placed and delivered during the strike, we will be using alternate shipping methods such as Purolator whenever possible.

Below, we've outlined how our operations are going to proceed during this time:

Shipping and Order Options

For Recent Orders:

If your order was placed just before the strike and is currently stuck in transit, please know that our team is actively monitoring the status of these orders, and we'll be reaching out to you directly to discuss options.

For Future Orders Placed During the Strike:

For new orders placed during and needed to be received during the strike, please note that shipping fees, even for orders over $100, will still apply.

If your order is not urgent, please let us know if you would prefer to wait until Canada Post resumes operations, otherwise we can place the order on hold and mark it as pending shipment.

Local affiliates also have the option to arrange in-person pickup from our Edmonton office.

Program Materials and Resources

Fortunately, a lot of branch-produced resources are still available digitally to our affiliates in the Resource Library. However, please know that while these resources can support programming in the interim, they do not replace the physical resources, which will be mailed once postal service resumes.

National resources and other materials without digital versions will be shipped as soon as possible or held until service resumes, depending on your preference.

Invoices and Payments

We will continue to send invoices and statements electronically during the postal disruption.

Affiliates can pay online through the affiliate portal, by e-transfer, or via electronic funds transfer (EFT).

If you have any questions about your orders or need assistance with shipping options, please reach out to us at Experts@Lifesaving.org or (780) 415-1755

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to minimize the impact of the postal disruption on your operations.
