Get Trained at Our Safety Symposium this October!
This October, the Lifesaving Society ABNWT will be holding a Safety Symposium in Jasper, where attendees have the opportunity to get trained in up to 5 different courses, including our new-and-improved safety courses!
Since January 2025, our new Safety Management Committee has been hard at work reviewing and updating the content of our safety management courses. By attending the symposium, you'll be able to access the updated course content before anyone else!
More details about the symposium will be coming soon, but registration is currently open for all featured courses below, so now's your chance to secure your spot!

Trainer Recertification
In this course, participants can recertify Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, National Lifeguard Instructor, and all Trainer streams

Aquatic Supervisor Training
This course trains participants in the supervision and mentorship of deck and front-line staff. Content includes safe facility operation, communication strategies, risk management, and more.

A big change is coming to our SEE Auditor course: in order to effectively cover specific aspects of the audit process, we've decided to split the course into two separate streams. At the symposium, you can be the first to experience the new version of the SEE Auditor program!
SEE Auditor: Pool & Waterpark Lifeguard
This stream is designed to prepare candidates to conduct SEE audits on lifeguards at swimming pools and waterfronts. Participants will gain the skills to provide tools/suggestions to supervisors and managers to support the development of lifeguards.
