Our Upcoming Programs and Services in 2024
As 2023 draws to a close, the Lifesaving Society Alberta & Northwest Territories branch wishes to share a sneak peek at our upcoming Programs and Services Calendar for the first three months of 2024.
This calendar will be published quarterly, a minimum of one month in advance of the first course in each quarter.
Online Courses
In 2024, we will be hosting one Trainer Recertification course per month, in recognition of increasing demand, and to provide courses that fit within our Trainers' schedules.
Below is the Trainer Recertification course schedule for the first three months of 2024.

Events
Sport Mid-Season Webinar
This will be a virtual check-in for Sport club managers & coaches for updates on the season, upcoming events, and other important information.

Affiliate Webinars
Historically we have hosted these webinars by region, but in an effort to increase access, and to facilitate connection and collaboration, we will be hosting two online webinars for all affiliates in Alberta and the Northwest Territories to choose from. Join the conversation to receive updates from the Society and to connect with other affiliates!

Workshops
The Lifesaving Society had great success in Fall 2023 with the launch of our National Lifeguard Instructor Workshops, and it's certainly something we hope to continue.
These workshops were intended to bring together instructors of a specific stream to network, share strategies and ideas, as well as provide an opportunity for instructor input in the continued development of our Branch resources.
Stay tuned for more info as we look to add workshops in 2024 for other instructor certifications!
Call for Host Sites!
We are looking for facilities to host our in-person Direct Delivery courses as well as other workshops and sessions for the 2024 year.
We will send out the call for potential host sites to facilities (within the planned region of delivery) in the near future, so stay tuned!
